That IS good news. A Coloradan friend and I were talking about this, and how for a lot of little towns, there’s ONE way into town and it’s across the bridge that’s over the river, and the electricity, gas, water, phone, and internet all cross the bridge. Take the bridge out, and you have instant complete isolation.

You could drink the river water, if you could get any without being swept away, and you could figure out how to boil it, without gas, and with all your firewood soaking wet.
