It was a good technology. I remember a guy that recorded his music on them. He claimed the fidelity was better than regular taping. I never was around them. VHS sucked in my opinion.

And to my original point…look at all the recording formats we’ve had in the last 60 years.

A couple years ago sattv told us his downlink station still used some BetaMax for quality/reliability.
