You know, at this point the most generous thing to say about Comey and his performance is that he’s a guy who cares about his reputation. The problem is that he absolutely shredded it Friday by trying to preempt Republican criticism that he cost them the election by not informing them about the emails on Weiner’s devices.

As I was saying at the end of the last thread before it died*, I have a somewhat different opinion of Director Comey’s actions: to me, it looks more like he was caught out trying to cover up his doing Congressional Republicans’ dirty work for them in attempting to sabotage the Clinton campaign; knowing full well that his non-revelation letter would trigger a hysterical outpouring of ZOMG!! HILLARY E-MAIL SCANDAL!!1!!!1!! BS which the Republicans - and our pathetic “MSM” - would immediately pick up on. And of course, provide red meat for The Talking Yam and the Deplorables.
