“Everybody be civil!” cries the crowd that spent the better part of two years talking about how awesome it was that a presidential candidate “told it like it is” because that was an element of the “populism” that people wanted so badly. The same media who chuckled and nudges each other whenever that candidate came up with a demeaning new nickname for his opposition. And who only seemed to get on this bandwagon the moment the opposition said “deplorables.”
