Bittersweet memories, though: til my wife got too sick to make it happen, we used to get all of her (formerly-large) family to come visit us in the City for “Jewish Christmas”: featuring, of course, an extensive offering of Kosher Chinese food; and (my contribution) a variety of quality single-malt Scotches. Doing our best to dispel ethnic stereotypes (in our case, the “Jews don’t drink” canard….)

Anyone who thinks “Jews don’t drink” has never been to a Chabad farbrengen.
