Besides I hate house hunting? I’ve decided I really like my old house and its charm. I am attracted to old houses. I’m discovering old houses in Richmond are in really, really bad school districts. ARGHHHGGHHHH.

I’m with you on the old homes. Charm, character, a soul ….and creaks! (I especially like creaks, like the house is breathing.) Didn’t you JUST re do your kitchen!?

Maybe if you expand your search zone farther away from the urban area you might find something more palatable. (I know, that presents a whole new set of circumstances to deal with.)
