My point is: The state of the 4th amendment is determined much more by court decisions than it is by the passage of laws. Your point, in so far as I understand it, seems to be disagreeing with that, saying that the P.A. isn’t been repealed because whackjobs like the people holding the rally are sapping the will to repeal it. I’m not sure, though, that that’s your actual argument.
I understand that view. I am saying the energy expended in and for the rally is a waste. The rhetoric makes it harder not easier to lobby or argue for rational change. Spectacle instead of substance. Seems a shame to me.
