because of their comprehensive social insurance, including “free” tuition at major universities (your taxes pay for it, so when it comes time to get a university education it has already been paid for), i have been listening to conservatives predict the imminent demise of the german economy within ten years

it’s been 40 years now since i first heard this prediction
