Nah, you’re probably doing it right. I don’t consider Twitter to be something that should be taken seriously. It’s the Internet version of going to a bar. You walk in fully understanding that many, or maybe most, of the other people in there are drunk. They’ve all got something to say that they think is really great, but the reason they think it’s really great is because they’re drunk. Sometimes they’re right, in spite of themselves. If you hang around in the bar long enough, you’ll probably wind up drunk yourself, even though you promised you’d only have a couple. Eventually, someone will say something that makes a lot of sense to you in ways you haven’t considered before. That’s how you know you’re drunk, and have become part of the crowd.

At the end of the night, you’ll get tired of all the drunken yelling and interaction, and if you’ve had a bit more than was good for you, you may find yourself feeling somewhat ill. You’ll spend the next day or two thinking nothing good about the Twitter pub.

But sooner or later, you’ll be back.
