Just filled out the monkey survey on what would make me feel safe to return to my office and whether I think FDA can achieve those metrics. I’m not concerned about the office, only about the idiots that inhabit my overall workspace. We’re mostly fairly liberal (90% advanced degrees in science) and have good sensibilities. But there are a few loonballs of the glibertabrian stripe who are conspiracy advocates. Yes, even withPh.D./Masters in toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry, math, etc. you can still be a fucking moron. I’m leaving off the Ph.D.s in microbiology ‘cause they’re all on board, here.

Reminder: Ben Sasse and Victor Davis Hansen both have PHd’s in subjects that theoretically would prepare them to deal with autocrats — but clearly high IQ or top education doesn’t teach you how to identify lies or con men or teach you ethics or decency.
