Sadly, my restaurant story is true. They did at least claim to serve all the wild stuff (claimed it was legal product of licensed big game hunting). The joint did serve this stuff as near as I can know.

It is also true that as group we had been drinking (a lot) and were summarily 86’d shortly after complaining that the pussy (lion?) was too tough.
