It’s odd that I can understand the Muslim view easier than the Western. I just don’t get how American lefties can watch the Peace Activists kidnapping soldiers and still view the activists as the victims. Reuters is certainly aware that it’s a fine line which is why they edited out the weapons. I have yet to hear a logical, factually accurate and honest reason from a lefty on this.

I can’t give you a definitive answer, but I can speculate:

Because within the dichotomy of the lefty worldview, Israel is the ultimate aggressor. To them, without requiring evidence, Israel is seen as too tough, unfeeling, cruel. Therefore, any level of violence against Israel, by any sort of activists, is inherently weaker, and inherently justified.

That’d be my guess, anyway.
