What he is doing is taking advantage of the popularity of Stars Wars to teach a bit of real science, I suspect.

He does that with every popular movie. He’s not seriously mad about things, although one time he did confront James Cameron about the star pattern in the night scenes in Titanic.

I skipped NdGT’s tweets today not because they bothered me, but because I was afraid they’d spoil something. Haven’t seen the movie yet.
