The Union.

The right wing extremists are the insurrectionists and secessionists who are looking to overthrow the government.

The Robin Wright article was published in August 2017 and apparently written after the Charlottesville fiasco. While we will find out more as the summer of 2018 progresses, my general impression from 2017 was that the Nazis and supremacists were repudiated.

And yes, I agree with LawHawk that I side with the Constitution. Which I took an oath to defend. And which was the position of the Union in 1861.
