Where did I say anyone doesn’t stand behind what they say? I didn’t, did I? I was talking about myself, wasn’t I? My whole comment was about “The Walter Show,” not about Iceweasel, not about you, not about anything else.

No, what I mean is, standing behind what you say has nothing to do with being motivated to keep your identity private, that’s all.

What I mean is, you can 100% stand behind what you say, (as of course I believe you do) and think you SHOULD be public because that’s ideally the way it shoudl be, but yet decide for tangible reasons not to let people in on where you live and what your real name is. There are bloggers in tech who had to quit blogging because they were harrassed by people so much. it’s really something.

I’m honestly sorta on your side, I didn’t think it was a problem, until I heard about people like DF getting death threats. I’m on a blog to have fun and talk politics, and if I’m gonna expose myself to death threats for the privilege, I’m going to keep my personal stuff secret!
