I buy the canned fish. The foil packaging usually drives up the cost.

Because of the metal content I try to limit the tuna to a couple of times a week now, the salmon is better for you anyway (but costs more.)

Pink salmon can be kind of bland from can, unless you buy a good brand. Here is one without salt added that I’ve tried recently and found to be ok (actually, the best canned pink salmon I’ve found yet.) Hard to find locally so I got a case from Amazon, and I went for the freebie shipping ( super-saver) and it only took 2 days to my doorstep!

I prefer fresh salmon, but getting wild caught salmon down here at a decent price is hard. It does go on sale from time to time, and if I hit the seafood counter at the right time of day I can get a good piece at a decent price.
