Did anyone happen to have Morning Joke on this morning. I had it on in the background and I could have sworn I heard ScaredBorough call himself a libertarian. Did anyone catch that?

I would argue that asshole would be a better political designation.

How long has that show been going? I swear I don’t know how Mika puts up with Joke. How does she keep herself from slapping him sometimes the way he treats her and the guests?

It can be entertaining in a strange black comedy way…I sure don’t take it series. I use it to see what the tone of the political discourse is going to for the day. Gotta get those talking points in so I know what’s coming.

Not surprising. I’ve seen it firsthand. The Republicans I know that are hip to the fact their party is fucking insane, almost as a unconscious defensive reflex, become “independent” or “libertarian”. Almost overnight.

They know what a toxic sludge the party is swimming in, but can’t bring themselves to openly admit it. You see it around here every so often.

Bill Maher had a woman on his last show who pulled that shit. He just laughed in her face and commented on the sudden influx of “independents” on his show.

I actually kind of admire the few Republicans here who admit their political leanings. I’m amazed at some of the superhuman cognizant dissonance they employ to justify their views, but at least they’re honest about it.
