re: #248 ipsos
Of course, he says it was an afternoon paper, so would have been the Boston Herald—and since it’s a wingnut paper, the people probably didn’t really care if it arrived or not!
The Herald hasn’t been an afternoon paper during UpChuck’s lifetime (or mine!)
I suspect that if his story has any truth to it (always a risky bet), he was delivering the Quincy Patriot-Ledger, which is an afternoon daily and has no Sunday edition. It’s thinner than the Boston dailies, too.
But I also think he’s pretty much full of shit. Or at least he was, until he dumped it on the floor.
Shows how long it’s been since I lived in Boston. Would the Quincy Patriot-Ledger even have 300 subscribers in Milton? (My niece lived in Quincy proper for about 10 years and didn’t subscribe.)
