Well, realize that I still haven’t outed myself as a moderate-liberal to anyone except all y’all and my wife. Since I have just gotten into a good working relationship with this particular individual, I don’t really want to make things awkward by revealing I’m not who he thinks I am.

My whole uber-conservative and Christian town knows I am slightly to the right of Trotsky (and a Democrat and atheist), and still elected me twice.

It might be because my town is small enough that everyone knows me, so the “librul evul, atheist satanist” derp doesn’t balance with what they actually see.

Was speaking with one of my Trump-supporting neighbours a few minutes ago in my kitchen about taking care of Felix Randomkitty Diabetic the First tomorrow while I am in surgery. He said he did not watch the debate (I watched it here). I suggested he do so as Hillary Clinton spanked Donald Trump from beginning to end; he went to the Public Library to go look up an on-line recording.

Perhaps I might have chipped away at another Trump voter, we’ll see.
