Oh, yeah - and remember the situation the country was in when Obama was inaugurated in 2009, and the GOP Caucus were vowing to obstruct every single thing he proposed: the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. 2 of the Big 3 Auotomakers about to go under, probably taking the 3rd with them. 800,000 jobs lost EVERY MONTH.

We were facing the possibility of another Great Depression, and those assholes decided that regaining power was more important than preventing that. For that reason alone, in any sane country, the GOP would have become one of those parties that picks up half a dozen seats at most.
