re: #249 Anymouse đš
The 1970 Bank Secrecy Act requires reporting to the IRS any withdrawal or deposit of $10,000 or more to the IRS.
When we bought our car and withdrew the cash to pay for it, the bank required us to fill in the necessary paperwork for the IRS.
In Cohenâs case, he deposited the money in a bank in Manhattan. It doesnât matter if he stashed it in the Cayman Islands first, if he deposited $130,000 in one giant slug it had to be reported.
The act allows for skirting the law (depositing several amounts of $9,999 in a row, for example).
But âmouse, that doesnât touch Trump directly which is the point. It ties Cohen into it and his ass is getting investigated right now.
He seems to be the guy paid well enough, and cocky enough to think he can get out of little problems like IRS.
Meanwhile The Orange Behemoth says he knows nothing. Nothing! Fake newsâŚMike Cohen is a nice guy. (Until he is not). And Trump doesnât âpaybackâ anyone for these payments. The money is already there for ready need.
It will be interesting if Mueller does track it all down, because I think Ms. Maddow hintedâŚif this has been done one time, how many other times and for who and what? It is Trumpâs blackmail fund. Just who all has blackmailed him he needs such a system?
