Say he spoke to them, and “the cake isn’t done,” that the chosen have not done enough to clear the world of evil-doers, and he’ll check back in for a third coming to see if they’ve done better.

They’d have to construe (or invent) some passage from Revelation to argue for a Third Coming. Jesus only had two appearances scheduled. He’s not going to do a Frank Sinatra and come back out of retirement a few times.
