Is the man penniless these days? Didn’t he have enough bread in his own bank accounts to cover the payments?

From what I hear, it really does sound like 38 Studios was hemorrhaging money. Project Copernicus was being talked about as still being at least a year away from release and Kingdoms of Amalur, while seemingly selling decently, supposedly needed to hit 3 million sales just to break even and hasn’t even gotten half of that.
