It’s not just the GOP Duggar problem; that’s actually a symptom of the real problem - the way that so many GOPers treat and view women - not as equals, but as subservient to men and who have no control over their own bodies. It’s men who should make those decisions and who should impose all kinds of restrictions - particularly re: abortion and birth control as well as sex education.

I agree and would add that conservatives, for some strange reason, want to make anyone and everyone into a hero that aligns with their narrow worldview. Look at all the flawed characters that GOP has put on a pedestal to only come crashing down: Bundy, Joe-not-the-Plumber, Holly Hobby Lobby, Dinesh, the Duggars, the Palins, etc, etc., etc. Conservatives on a daily screech that the “Left worships Obama”, but one thing is clear is that they will turn any character into a hero just as long as they say bad things about Democrats.
