It wasn’t really intended as sarcasm. I was trying to highlight the callous party atmosphere. It’s not a serious political or economic movement. They want to keep the party atmosphere to keep the attending rubes happy regardless of the things happening around them. Personally I find it sad, vapid and heartless.

Understood, Killgore, but please be a bit more tactful in the future. Your post came across as callous. You didn’t make clear you were talking about the organizers’ attitudes and not your own.
