I am conflicted on this. Generally, I am opposed to abortion. My personal exceptions are rape, incest and the life of the mother. Modern medical care today allows viability outside the womb to extend to babies who would have died a few decades ago. I’m certainly not a theocrat but I do not take abortion lightly.

I don’t like abortion either, but the best way to reduce abortion is to help mothers find ways to keep and raise their children: more maternity leave, lower chilldbearing and childrearing costs, etc.

The Fundamentalist approach is to protect the “sancitiy of life” in the womb and then drop it entirely when the kid pops out.
