Regarding Sandmonkey revealing himself. It’s probably the best thing he could do at this point since it’s clear that the authorities know who he is now. He’s already an underground public figure, now he’s becoming an above ground one. Going on CNN like he did makes it harder to be disappeared without ramifications because more people would pay attention.
Being public like this while definitely bringing more risk also offers it’s own set of protections.
