I accidentally watched a documentary about a guy who goes undercover at pig farms that are suspected of being too cruel to their livestock. I am not a vegetarian, but i have been unable to eat any pig product since. Heart breaking.
I miss biscuits and sausage gravy.

What got me into it initially was PETA. I saw a brochure of the slaughter houses. Years later and while I was still a veghead, I learned that those disgusting, mutilated pictures were of non-US slaughter houses, mostly in South and Central America. I had been duped by PETA. This was back in the 80’s way before the proliferation of the internet.

I want to say they have a good point because in the sense of animal rights and treatment they do, but I guess they don’t really believe in it or they wouldn’t have to lie so much about it.
