Nurse backs up testimony of woman accusing two NYPD officers of raping her while she was drunk

The sensational case charges Officers Kenneth Moreno and Franklin Mata with assaulting the heavily intoxicated victim after helping her to her apartment when she passed out in a taxi.

Video surveillance showed the officers returning to the woman’s apartment three more times that night and the woman says, at one point, she woke up with a man on top of her.

Prosecutors allege Moreno, 44, raped her while Mata, 28, stood watch. Both officers deny anything happened.

During graphic cross examination, one of Moreno’s lawyers drew a rebuke from the judge after comparing a woman’s private parts to a Venus Flytrap.

“It’s not like a Venus Flytrap and snaps?” attorney Chad Seigel asked.

“That is a terrible example,” Judge Gregory Carro interjected.
