re: #255 wheat-dogg
Where I live now (south central China) has really boring weather. No hurricanes, tornadoes, severe t-storm watches, typhoons, floods, mudslides, blizzards. Just hot and muggy summers, and cold and wet winters. Nothing unusual (so far). All the really bad weather seems to bypass us.
Also, I learned that this part of China is earthquake-free, but not the next province over (Sichuan).
I’m not complaining. I’ve lived through several hurricanes, tornado seasons, blizzards, winter storm warnings, etc. — enough severe weather for one lifetime, I think.
But I got friends and family on the East Coast, so I hope Sandy doesn’t clobber y’all too bad.
My husband just got accepted as a HS science teacher to go somewhere in the Hunan province next June/July to help with some research. He’s so excited!
