I only wish I’d be about 15 years older than I was back in ‘77 (I was 8); I would’ve loved to see all that craziness for myself. I’ve always been fascinated by the dark underbelly, the seedy side of life. Visited NYC with my parents in ‘78 and Times Square was, shall we say, the wildest thing I’d ever seen….a veritable carnival of debauchery and vice come to life.

That’s right in the neighborhood of our ages at that time. I remember walking over to Times Square some nights and just hanging out, watching the night life.

The rich folks went to Studio 54, and the regular folks went to Times Square. But at the time, everybody had the same objective - it was party time. I used to think the only people working around there were the bouncers and weed dealers and hookers.
