In all seriousness, I’ve been following this and it really looks like the UK has a major financial crisis brewing. British former colleagues of mine have pointed out that Britain never fully recovered from the 2008 global financial crisis, then Brexit happened, and now this is just the little Maraschino cherry on top of the cake of shit.

This is also behind Boris Johnson’s asinine “herd immunity” plan: he also knew that the economy was dangling by a thread and Covid was poised to send it into a tailspin.
