I don’t own any fancy china or silver. Didn’t ask for any when we got married.

a) the husband is an only child.
b) we’d never use the damn things anyway.

Give me the Corelle plates that are hard to break, and the silverware from like 5 different garage sales.

Well, ok, I’d actually like to unify the silverware into one set, but that’s more because it’s obnoxious when things don’t stack properly in the drawer.

My wife and I received a set of Corelle from my mother-in-law for our wedding. Some time later, we found a box that the Mrs. Fish’s late grandmother had left for her wedding day. Inside? A brand-new, unopened box of Corelle. Identical pattern and all.
