He won the caucus by 45.6 points and is losing the primary by 7.2. That’s a 52.8-point difference.
That same difference would have resulted in Clinton winning the hypothetical primaries in Maine, Minnesota, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Hawaii, along with blowout victories in Iowa and Nevada. Sanders would hang on by single-digit margins in Utah, Idaho, and Alaska.
