He continues to survive because our process for dealing with it is slow, designed to protect the innocent.

We are not in civil war territory. We will survive this. Yes, we will be a changed nation, and it’s sad that so many people either decided it was OK or didn’t care, but maybe part of the change will be an understanding of what we did.

The Trump election doesn’t change us. It just shows that our appraisal of ourselves after the Obama elections was over-optimistic.
