Very true: I wish some public figure would -publicly - put it to “President” Trump in just those simple terms:

“You don’t like Twitter fact-checking your claims? Then don’t post lies on Twitter!”

Trump is incapable of distinguishing truth from lies; if he says it, it must be true. But this is a longstanding GOP position.

From an article published during the Bush years:
