I guess it is time to return to the good ole days of polio, whooping cough, and other preventable diseases. It must be God’s plan.

I know a family who uses this as a reason to not get vaccines. The kid told me that if they were ‘good’ then they wouldn’t get the bad diseases. Getting a cold is an indication that something theological is off and something needs to be done to atone.

It’s sorta like a really, really warped ‘be good kids so Santa will give you presents’ way of the parents getting their kids to be obdient except the threat in this case sickness and/or death from sickness.

Although they do have the right to believe what they want I personally feel that this borders on emotional and mental abuse. I find it pretty sick actually and feel awful for the kids.
