Gingrich made himself useless and irrelevant back when his strategy to humiliate and hurt Clinton by shutting down the government got Clinton re-elected.

Why anyone takes the guy seriously anymore is beyond me.

The Right seems to believe that their best days were in the past, hence they’re crowding around symbols of those by-gone days, with Newt being one of the most prominent ones due to his powerful leadership…right up til he became an albatross around the neck of his party and was subsequently deposed.
