For those of you who were on LGF as early as 2004 when Fox News was still viewed favourably, how did these kind of media manipulation feel at the time? Does anyone remember any discomfort when reading such blatantly manipulated content? Or did it just get some kind of cognitive ‘pass’?

I think its an important question, given that LGF ‘broke free’ of this political orientation, which I think is rather rare these days. Understanding it might help develop a strategy to encourage others to see Fox News differently.

Good question. Fox has always been a partisan outlet. There was a certain degree of spin, sometimes too much. But after the election things took a very drastic turn. Much of their reporting was completely fake/made up shit and easily debunked conspiracy theories. Glenn Beck wasn’t even reporting news from this century, he went off on McCarthy era communist plots and biblical prophecy. Fox has definitely changed.
