Possibly a genetic tendency aggravated by learned responses.

I think mostly learned response. If you are raised by angry people, you become an angry person—and/or you drink a lot. From what I’ve read, West Texas is hard country to try to live in. Generations of hard life can make for angry people.

It’s worse, IMHO, if the anger is sublime. Can make for some really f-cked-up kids.

The kind that drag people from the backs of trucks until they are dead.
