I would think it’ll be a hilarious poke-in-the-eye to the TPers/Palinites/Newtists if gas prices were to somehow trend below $3/gal (average) through at least the election.

It may be wishful thinking, but wouldn’t it take some of the wind out of the RWNJs’ sails?
