Aside from all that, it’s a gross lie. The poor have been constantly getting poorer for 40 years now. You have to ignore inflation to say something like that, and nobody’s that stupid.

It’s the same mindset that tells poor people to stop complaining because “I made 2 dollars or so on minimum wage in the 60’s and I’m fine.” For a bunch of people who claim to be more economically literate than the left, this is yet another example of conservative economic illiteracy.
