The incident I was referring to, as posted in comment 166, occurred in 2017 while Trump was President.

And frankly, for their continuing failure to report on Trump from the moment of his candidacy in 2015, I have no sympathy for the NYT. The anecdotal information I have seen, on this website and others, leads me to believe that the NYT was well aware of Trump and his activities.

As I said above, the real problem is that he should probably have been thrown in prison in the 1990’s for his financial dealings, but somehow these criminals get away with their crimes over and over again. Think of how long it took to get Bernie Madoff, even though he was reported to the SEC years earlier but they ignored the allegations. Financial criminals (not Trump — but those who did his books) are cleverer than those who work as investigators.
