I think the two obvious ways this plays out, assuming he loses:

1. he tries to run again in 2024 because of the grift

2. he ends up living in a dacha just outside of Moscow “because of the great business deal he has in Moscow that he needs to oversee directly”

With the loser-stink all over him, Putin will dump Trump in a heartbeat. I doubt Vlad is any more loyal than Trump. Trump was useful for awhile, but Putin’s cultivated other willing GOPers as backup.
