You’re looking for a simple explanation of a complex subject.

Colour depends on the element and the composition of the molecule. The wave form of the light determines whether it will reflect or not. Refraction occurs at the boundary between two or more different substances.

It’s just the way my mind works. I need to grasp the outline or the global concept before I can get to the complex specifics. I need the framework first then I can fill it in.

Probably why I’m horrible at math
