I wonder if this is the real reason they’re holding up the $1200 stimulus payment. Last time they tossed these crumbs to the peasants someone realized that $1200 was the estimated cost of building a guillotine. Plans and cost estimates went viral.

True story:
My sister has a good friend who emigrated from the Soviet Union 40 years ago. After receiving the stimulus check this spring, the friend told my sister Obama never would have given this money. And why not? Because he wasn’t a billionaire who could distribute his own funds to help struggling Americans!

Clearly some people are delusional enough to believe that the letter Trump sent (and his signature on the check for those who received a check) meant that the money was Trump’s. This is reason #1000050 why we cannot have nice things.
