Well until the Chinese develop(build) significant amounts of amphibious assault boats, I wouldn’t sweat Taiwan. And even IF the Chinese had the amphibious capability, they don’t have the Navy to support it - again, don’t sweat China/Taiwan.

Given the circumstances, I would not be surprised if the PRC’s plan for Taiwan would be to continue to assist in the weakening of the US to the point that the US totally abandons Taiwan - leading to it being absorbed into the PRC without a fight. If any ‘war’ occurs, it would be strictly cyber / economic.
