The truth is, and we all know this but I am going to say it anyway, that right wingers desperately want it to be a Muslim who did this because it gets them off the hook, justifies continued Islamophobia and fits their preferred narrative about who the real enemies of this country are.

Of course if it does turn out to be one of their own, they will simply dismiss it as a false flag operation, an Obama controlled plot to set them up or some similar Liberal frame job.

They honestly expect to have it both ways.
