Some dipshit on another board’s convinced that the Army already has enough evidence to charge Bowe with desertion, but the reason they’ve not changed his status or put a hold on his promotions is “government bureaucracy.” Says things move so slow in DC that the Army just hadn’t gotten around to it before he was released.

Sounds like Heinz 57 varieties of bullshit to me. It would be idiotic for the Army to determine someone’s status preemptively like this while the possibility exists of talking to that person.
