I was big on Franken resigning because his seat would be filled with another Democrat. Then yesterday someone mentioned that McConnell would do everything is his power to refuse to seat Franken’s replacement, and I realized the poster was right.

No, that won’t happen. Franken’s original seating was delayed because of the recount. If Franken resigns and the Governor appoints a replacement, McConnell has zero grounds to refuse to seat him or her.
